I’ve heard about 100 Percent Pure for a while now as they have an entire line of beauty products from makeup to skincare and even natural hair care. All of their cosmetics are made from fruit pigments. The entire product line is 100% natural and 100% vegan. So that is definitely a plus.
During the Christmas holiday they had a big sale so I decided to try out a few products. I was mainly looking for more foundation options so I opted to try that first. I would say my one real complaint is that they don’t offer many deep shades for darker skin tones. There were really only 2 to choose from Mousse Deep and Cocoa. I decided to go with Cocoa since I felt that one would match better with my skin tone.
All in all I really like this foundation. It’s more on the thick side not runny like a lot of other liquid foundations I’ve seen. I only needed a pump for each side of my face. It glides on pretty smooth and feels like skin. This is not a full coverage foundation but I only needed to apply one layer. I will say that it does take time to oxidize but once it does the finish is nice and matte, which is perfect for my combination oily skin.

- All natural- I don’t have to worry about causing harm to my skin
- Built in sun protection spf20
- A little goes a long way so it’ll last a while
- Smooth matte finish that doesn’t look cakey
- Comes in a pump for easy application
- Not enough shade options especially for deeper skin tones
- It can be a bit pricey at $42 unless you catch a sale
- The shade cocoa has red undertones in order for me to balance it I have to use a finished powder with a yellow undertone
Quick Tip: All natural cosmetics have shorter shelf lives since they lack the toxic preservatives. I would leave this foundation in the tube it comes in just so that foundation will last longer. Natural cosmetics can be sensitive to sun or light exposure.
Would I purchase this again? Definitely. Although I am curious to see how this will hold up in the humid summer heat.
