Here are 3 healthy breakfast ideas that are quick and easy to make.

Plantain Oatmeal

1 ripe plantain

1 cup almond or coconut milk

1 cup of steel cut oats

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon ground flax seeds

 

Directions:

  1. Place sliced plantain in a blender with milk and blend until smooth
  2. In a medium pot on medium high heat place oats, cinnamon, flax seeds, and plantain milk and allow mixture to cook until it starts to boil
  3. Turn down heat and continue to stir until oatmeal reaches the consistency you desire
  4. Serve in a bowl with fresh fruit

 

Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie

1 frozen banana

1/2 cup peanut butter

2 tablespoons chocolate protein powder

2 cups frozen raspberries

2 cups nut milk

 

Place all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth

 

Apple Peanut Butter Wrap

Whole Wheat Tortillas

1 small apple cut in slices

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/2 granola

 

Directions:

  1. Spread desired layer of peanut butter on tortilla
  2. Place apple slices on top of peanut butter
  3. Sprinkle granola on top
  4. Fold and cut wrap and enjoy!
